Klopeiner See - the warmest swimming lake in Europe

Lake Klopeiner See impresses with its picturesque location, embedded in a beautiful landscape of mountains and hills, and is nevertheless one of Europe’s warmest lakes. It is characterized by its crystal clear purity, influenced by the mild climate of the Mediterranean region. This is why Klopeiner See has been designated the quality attribute “Warmest swimming lake of Europe (up to 28°C water temperature) with drinking water quality”. Bathing season from May to September

Our guests have access to the Lido Krainz on the eastern shore of Lake Klopeiner See. It is approximately a 5 minutes walk.The public lido Strandbad Krainz, where you have free entry, is situated at the peaceful eastern side of the Lake, offering also a first-class restaurant and a comfortable lake cafe. A large well-cared for lawn for sunbathing and a long jetty on the lake ideal for sunbathing and relaxing make our lido one of the most beautiful at Lake Klopeiner See. The shores of the lake are flat and sandy and therefore perfect for young children. Next to a shaded sand pit directly on the shores of the lake, there is a large children’s playground, ideal for the entertainment of both younger and older children.
